Ravens OT Jah Reid Still Sidelined With Strained Calf

Ravens offensive tackle Jah Reid remains sidelined due to a slow-to-heal strained right calf initially suffered in June when he was carted off the field.

Since that minicamp practice, Reid has aggravated the leg injury twice.

Although he wasn't placed on injured reserve, Reid still isn't able to practice.

"Yeah, it's definitely getting better," Reid said. "It's a process. It's something I've got to take care of."

Reid is relieved that he wasn't forced out for the season and still believes he will eventually play this season.

"It's right on the cusp," Reid said. "I'm doing tons of conditioning and weight room stuff, film room stuff. As far as actually using it to push around somebody, that's what we have to work on."

Safety Sean Considine (concussion) was at practice, but wearing a red jersey signifying he's off limits to contact.
