Texans Run Over Jaguars 27-7 | | After an inspiring, close loss to the Vikings in Week 1, the Jaguars' 27-7 loss to the Houston Texans was anything but close as the home team was beaten in every facet of Sunday's game.
While the defense never allowed the big plays that caused a late loss to the Vikings and despite six forced punts, the relentless pressure that was put on their shoulders of the defense by the Jaguars offense's inabilities eventually led to points. They were nickeled-and-dimed all game, unable to stop the rushing attack of Arian Foster, Ben Tate and Justin Forsett that combined for 219 yards rushing.
Offensively, Blaine Gabbert struggled to get anything going, with the exception of a nice throw to Laurent Robinson that set up a touchdown pass to Maurice Jones-Drew. Despite the scoring drive, Gabbert finished the day 7-of-19 passing for 53 yards before a left thigh injury ended his day. Source: SBNation.com
