Browns head coach Pat Shurmur announced Thursday that rookie running back Trent Richardson will play Sunday against the Eagles, per Scott Petrak.
�Browns Shurmur said RB Richardson has experienced no setbacks in return. Expected to play Sunday in opener,� tweeted Petrak.
Richardson will practice in full-pads Thursday, a sign that he will start on Sunday. It�s great news the Browns, who could use all the help on offense that they can get. It�s still hard to say what kind of workload Richardson will be given this weekend, but at least they will have their best weapon available.
