The Ravens were involved contract dispute with offensive tackle Bryant McKinnie, a situation that did lead to his release according to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun.
The Ravens wanted to reduce McKinnie's $3.2 million base salary after already paying him a $500,000 roster bonus in March.
After Wilson followed up via text message with McKinnie asking if he was off the team, he replied with "Yes." McKinnie followed up with a text saying he's sorry it didn't work out, adding: "I'll be fine."
