Bengals QB Andy Dalton Suffers Arm Injury Vs Colts

Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton left on the Bengals' first series Thursday night with a bruised right arm.

Dalton was hit by Robert Mathis and others on the Bengals' sixth offensive play.

Initially, he stayed down, then got up and walked toward the sideline where he dropped to the ground again. Trainers appeared to be checking his elbow.

Team officials said he was not expected to return, though it was unclear whether he was staying out because of the injury or because it was the preseason finale and the Bengals didn't want to risk a more serious injury.
