Bills Release Nine, Down To 75 Active Players | | Roughly 24 hours ahead of the deadline for trimming the roster down to 75 players, the Buffalo Bills have already done so. Tight end Mike Caussin has been placed on Reserve/PUP, and nine more players have been released to get down to the league maximum allowed.
The nine players cut: wide receivers David Clowney and Derek Session, tight end Fendi Onobun, guard Jake Vermiglio, defensive end Sean Ferguson, defensive tackle Jay Ross, linebacker Danny Batten, cornerback Prince Miller and safety Nick Sukay. Of that group, all but Clowney and Batten are eligible for the practice squad.
None of these releases are remotely surprising, and the biggest name on the list is obviously Batten's, the former 2010 sixth-round draft pick. Source: SBNation.com
