Bengals Place WR-CB Taveon Rogers And 4 Others On Injured Reserve, Waive 4 Others | | The Bengals placed CB Brandon Ghee (wrist), CB Shaun Prater (knee), WR-CB Taveon Rogers (shoulder), S Robert Sands (chest) and OG Travelle Wharton (knee) on injured reserve, the team announced Friday.
Wharton, who was set to start at left guard, injured his knee in the Bengals’ preseason opener against the Jets, Sands, a second-year reserve safety, played in one game as a rookie and suffered his injury against the Falcons on Aug. 16. Prater was the team’s fifth-round pick and he injured his knee in practice on July 28, Ghee is a third-year player who appeared in seven games last season.
The Bengals also waived rookie DE Luke Black, third-year RB Aaron Brown, rookie QB Tyler Hansen and first-year OG Matt Murphy. The roster moves get the Bengals down to 76 players. Source: ProFootball Weekly
