| Ex-Titans WR David Givens Refiles $25M Lawsuit Against Team Former Titans wide receiver David Givens is hopeful his second attempt at a $25 million lawsuit against the team proves more productive than his first. Givens refiled his lawsuit earlier this week in U.S. District Court in Nashville, alleging the Titans knowingly withheld medical information from him and encouraged him to play despite being advised that a knee condition could not withstand the rigors of NFL competition. In November of the 2006 season, Givens suffered a career-ending knee injury. He missed the 2007 season and the Titans cut him in February of 2008. He first sued the Titans for $25 million in 2009, but a federal judge dismissed the lawsuit in 2010, saying Givens had to go through arbitration under the NFL’s collective bargaining agreement.
