| Titans Coach Mike Munchak Says Schedule Will Affect Who's Named The Starting QB
Titans coach Mike Munchak acknowledged that the team's difficult early schedule of games could play some part in picking a starting quarterback, John Glennon of the Tennessean reports. Matt Hasselbeck, a 14th-year pro, obviously has a huge edge in experience. Jake Locker is readying for his second season. “You always look at what’s coming up,” Munchak said. “You do that when you’re adding players to your roster. And when you’re drafting, you’re thinking about who can help early… Those are really not the main things, but you have to factor everything in. … I could sit here and put down a list of pros and cons on who should start in our first game, and there are a lot of reasons for both of them. So that would not be (the sole reason) why we would do what we do. We’ve got to go with the guy that’s going to help us to win.” Source: The Redzone |
