Titans Prepared For Ravens Cut Blocks

After Baltimore’s win over Pittsburgh last Sunday, a number of Steelers claimed that the Ravens were guilty of cut blocks and chop blocks, which helped spring running back Ray Rice for over 100 yards. Titans defensive coordinator Jerry Gray said it’s best to take an aggressive approach if those circumstances arise according to John Glennon of the Tennessean. “They’re trying to cut you and do those things,” Gray said. “You’ve got to make sure you’re doing something that’s hopefully going to hurt them, too. You can’t just be the recipient of everything. You’ve got to start doing something that’s going to get you back on track and hopefully they’ll tone that stuff down when you do something else.”

Definitely a few cut blocks on Hampton...however, according to the "rules" they weren't illegal...lol.

Someone will be seriously injured if that continues.

Yeah, agree 100%...but according to the "rules," there is nothing illegal about it...

Quote:
On a running play, A1, an offensive lineman, chops a defensive player after the defensive player has been engaged by A2 (high or low), and the initial alignment of A2 is more than one position away from A1. The rule applies only when the block occurs at a time when the flow of the play is clearly away from A1.

So much for player safety...right?
