Rams Agree To Terms With DE William Hayes

The St. Louis Rams have agreed to terms on a one-year contract with free agent William Hayes, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Financial terms were not disclosed. Selected with a fourth round pick (113th overall) in the 2008 NFL Draft out of Winston-Salem by the Tennessee Titans, the 6-foot-3, 272-pound Hayes has 112 tackles, eight sacks and four forced fumbles in 48 games, including 12 starts, over the last four seasons. Hayes visited the Rams on Thursday and will be reunited with Jeff Fisher, who was the Titans head coach during Hayes' first three seasons in the NFL. After playing in just eight games as a rookie, Hayes started 11 games in 2009, playing in over 60 percent of the defensive snaps and posting 51 tackles and four sacks, which remain career-highs in 2009.
