By using this web site, you agree to be contacted by site administration, regardless of your account settings, when it becomes necessary to do so regarding your account's activity.

The basic ground rules for discussions on GridironFans.com are simple: Use the correct forums to discuss a topic, use common sense and don't post any message that even hints at advertising.

You are permitted a maximum of one account, active or inactive. If you choose to ignore this important restriction, all your accounts will be disabled. You are allowed to change your username only once up 30 days after you register. If you require a user name change, please contact the site's administration. If you have forgotten your log in details and are unable to retrieve them via the system, do not create a new account, please contact the site's administration. GridironFans.com allows one account per member and one member per account.

We don't intend to censor messages based on the opinions expressed within posts, but we will enforce the policies outlined here. We reserve the right to remove or move posts at our discretion and without explanation. Please contact the site's administration if you do not understand any of the rules, guidelines or policies outlined below.

Suspension of your account is a definite consequence of not adhering to these guidelines.

GridironFans.com staff assume members have read these rules and will not take ignorance of any rules as an excuse for not following the rules, policies, and guidelines outlined here and in the forum specific rules.
Warning System On GridironFans.com:
At this site we give members five (5) warnings before they are banned. Some infractions can warrant an immediate banning. Bannings can be temporary or permanent depending on the reason for being banned and any length of time for a ban are at the sole discretion of the administration. All of the rules below are in place to keep the site in order. A member can receive a yellow card if any of these rules are broken. Yellow cards are permanent. General Forum Rules:

• Spam: If you SPAM our members in any manner, your account will be disabled. Do not contact anyone to suggest your product, website or service. Signature spam is forbidden.
• Account Responsibility: Your account is yours alone. You are responsible for any activity created with it. You may not share your account login with anyone. If you choose to ignore this important restriction your account, and any accounts associated with it, can be disabled.
• Posting Personal Information: Posting personal information about someone without their consent is not allowed. This includes full names, addresses, phone numbers, personal email addresses, pictures etc. Posting this can result in an immediate ban from the site.
• Flame Wars: No flame wars allowed outside of the Fight Club forum. This includes flaming a member via the PM system. The Fight Club forum is the only place where personal attacks are allowed. The NFL Smack Central forum is NOT a place for personal flame wars or attacks. Abuse of this rule may result in being banned, so please keep this in mind
• Posting In The Wrong Forum/Duplicate Threads: Threads that are located in an inappropriate forum or duplicate threads with the same discussion will either be closed, merged or moved at the administration's discretion.
• Derailing Threads: Completely changing a thread's topic of discussion is not allowed. If you feel the need to change the subject, do so in a already-exisiting thread or start a new topic in the appropriate forum. Posts derailing a thread will be moved by the site staff.
• Posting Articles From Other Sites: Quoting from free public articles is allowed provided its not more than up to three sentences AT MOST and a link is provided to the source. No quoting and no paraphrasing is allowed from articles that are part of any websites paid content or member only content (like ESPN Insider). Never copy and paste a complete article to the forums.
• Nudity/Torrents/Warez: No nudity is allowed on the site. Discussion of torrents/warez or any file-sharing/illegal streaming is not allowed on the forums. Any mention of them will be deleted.

Custom User Titles, Locations, Profiles, and Signatures:
The custom user title, location field, profile picture and signature options are edited via your Profile. Custom user titles and the location field are displayed next to your posted text, under your user name. Profile pictures are shown in your public profile. Signatures, once created in your profile, are attached to the end of your posts (if you choose the option to include your signature).

• URLs or other forms of advertising (phone numbers, plans, contact details, etc.) are not allowed in custom user titles or names, which are limited to 25 characters. Also, you may not use custom titles to impersonate, or attempt to impersonate, GridironFans.com Staff, user groups, or existing members.
• Your location field cannot include URLs or other forms of advertising.
• Profile pictures cannot include sexually explicit or graphically intense images.
• Profile Summary (and all other modules) cannot include or link to illegal encouragement, harassment, or sexually explicit content.
• Members are allowed one signature pic (Exceptions need to be cleared with the site admin). Size limits for sig pics are 500 x 200 pixels. While there is no KB limit, any sig pics too large that cause a slow down or are not showing up and slowing the site down will be removed. No nudity is allowed in sig pics. Having links to other sites in your signature that have not been previously approved by the site administration are not allowed and will be taken down immediately.
• The site limits avatars to 100 x 100 pixels and 100kb's max. All avatars are uploaded to GridironFans.com's server. No nudity is allowed in avatars.
• In addition to your sig pic and avatars, members are allowed to display user bars. There is no limit to how many you can display as long as they rotate. While there is no KB limit, any sig pics too large that cause a slow down or are not showing up and slowing the site down will be removed. No nudity is allowed in userbars.

Any posts not meeting these guidelines may be removed with or without notice.
