Texans LB Darryl Sharpton To Make Season Debut Sunday
Darryl Sharpton was limited to seven regular-season games last season and didn’t take the field until Week 11.
The fourth-year linebacker then missed the Texans’ final preseason contest and regular season-opener this year, dealing with concussion effects and staying in Houston while his team traveled to San Diego.
But Sharpton will be active Sunday, pairing with Joe Mays at inside linebacker and playing special teams during the Texans’ home-opener Sunday against the Tennessee Titans at Reliant Stadium.
“He’’s fine,” Texans coach Gary Kubiak said Friday, following his team’s final practice before facing Tennessee. “He’s ready to go, so he’ll be up.”
