Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins Could Play Vs Cowboys
DeAndre Hopkins has moved to stage four of five in the NFL’s concussion protocol and could play Thursday during the Texans’ final preseason game against the Dallas Cowboys in Arlington.
Hopkins, who suffered a head injury Aug. 17 against Miami, also may practice Wednesday.
“He’s doing good,” Texans coach Gary Kubiak said Tuesday after a team luncheon at a Galleria-area hotel. “He has not been totally cleared to return to practice. … He did do a lot of work (Tuesday) with the trainers.”
Hopkins has six receptions for 74 yards and a touchdown in limited preseason action. The No. 27 overall pick of the 2013 NFL Draft didn’t play last Sunday during a home loss to New Orleans.
