No Resolution Yet In Dispute Between Patriots, DE Jonathan Fanene
The dispute between the New England Patriots and former defensive end Jonathan Fanene remains ongoing.
The Patriots are trying to recover a portion of Fanene's $3.85 million signing bonus after paying him $2.5 million of it last year.
A hearing was conducted Tuesday that included testimony from Fanene, Patriots coach Bill Belichick, team doctor Thomas Gill and Fanene's agent, Angelo Wright.
Now, it will head to an arbitrator.
When the Patriots cut Fanene after signing him to a three-year, $12 million contract last year, it was assigned a failure to disclose physical condition designation.
