Raiders Rookie CB D.J Hayden Likely To Be Ready For Training Camp
Cornerback D.J. Hayden, recovering from abdominal surgery, was at the Raiders' practice Monday, and coach Dennis Allen believes he is on schedule to be ready for training camp beginning July 25 in Napa.
Hayden, the Raiders' first-round draft pick, had scar tissue removed from his abdomen, a procedure that will keep him out the remaining two days of this week's organized team activity as well as next week's mandatory full-roster minicamp.
Hayden, the No. 12 pick of the draft, had major surgery last November for a torn inferior vena cava, a vein that brings blood to the heart.
"Everything was as we had hoped and anticipated," Allen said. "It's a little bit of uncharted waters, but we still feel comfortable he'll be back and ready to go before we start training camp."
