Texans WR DeVier Posey Close To Returning To Field After Tearing Achilles In January
DeVier Posey is trying to return from a torn Achilles that he suffered in the Texans' final game last season.
After an offseason of waiting, Texans receiver DeVier Posey is closer than he’s ever been to returning to participation. Posey suffered a torn Achilles in January and had surgery four and a half months ago.
“I should be out on the field next week doing drills and getting acclimated to the heat and getting my foot on that solid ground again,” Posey said.
Posey has attended OTAs while only being able to watch from the sidelines.
“We’re making a decision on him at the end of camp because of the PUP and those type of things,” Texans coach Gary Kubiak said. “He’s doing everything he can. He’s going to come back and he’s going to play for us next year. How early is the question.”
