Lions WR Nate Burleson Says He's 100 Percent, So 'It's Time To Get Busy'
Lions wide receiver Nate Burleson is ready to go.
When Burleson suffered a tibial plateau fracture in Week 7 against the Chicago Bears, no one expected the recovery to be this quick. The injury ended Burleson's season and surgery to correct the injury required a plate and a half dozen screws.
"The great news is I'm healed up," Burleson said in an appearance on NFL AM Monday morning. "I just got news from my doctors that the bone is good. I'm running and jumping three months ahead of schedule."
Last month, Burleson's younger brother Lyndale posted a video on YouTube of Nate effortlessly executing a standing vertical jump onto a platform approximately 30-inches high.
Monday morning, just days before the 2013 NFL draft begins, the wide receiver confidently announced his health status.
"I actually got to go work out after this," Burleson said. "That knee is getting right; I'm 100 percent. It's time to get busy. So I'll be in the weight room after this."
