Falcons Don't Rule Out A Possible Return For DE John Abraham
The Atlanta Falcons basically swapped out veteran pass rushers when they released John Abraham and then signed Osi Umenyiora.
The moves, by themselves, do not solve the team’s need to improve the pass rush in 2013. It’s a point of emphasis and many expect the Falcons will address the need in the draft later this month. But general manager Thomas Dimitroff did not rule out the possibility Abraham, who remains on the open market, could return.
“We never say never,” Dimitroff said during an appearance on the NFL Network, according to D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “There is a lot on the horizon. We have some decisions to make across the organization, but we never say never as far as acquiring or bringing people back.”
It’s unlikely the Falcons would make a move to bring Abraham back before the draft.
