Ravens Pay WR Lardarius Webb's $5M Option Bonus
The Ravens have paid cornerback Lardarius Webb his scheduled $5 million option bonus, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation.
Webb is in the second year of a $50 million contract that included a $10 million signing bonus. He is also due a $2.385 million base salary this season and carries a $5.385 million salary-cap figure.
The contract was negotiated by Webb's agent, Marc Lillibridge, and Ravens vice president of football administration Pat Moriarty.
Webb is making steady progress from a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee suffered against the Dallas Cowboys last season and told The Baltimore Sun at the Super Bowl he's on track to return this season.
"Yes, I am coming back next season," said Webb, whose surgery was performed by Dr. James Andrews. "And everything is great."
