Redskins To Host OT Jeremy Trueblood This Weekend
The Redskins have interest in offensive tackle Jeremy Trueblood and will host him for a free agent visit this weekend, a person with knowledge of the situation confirmed.
Washington is in need of a right tackle with the oft-injured Jammal Brown now no longer with the team and last seasonís starter, Tyler Polumbus, an unrestricted free agent.
Trueblood has spent his entire eight-year career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who drafted him in the second round out of Boston College in 2006. Bruce Allen was Tampa Bayís general manager at the time.
The 6-foot-8, 320-pound Trueblood lost his starting job in Tampa one game into last season and then suffered a shoulder injury and was placed on injured reserve after nine games.
