Broncos RB Willis McGahee's Roster Spot Is Vulnerable
Broncos running back Willis McGahee is 31 (turns 32 in October) and is coming off a compression fracture in his right tibia that forced him to miss the final seven games of the season, including the Broncos’ playoff loss to Baltimore.
Mike Klis of the Denver Post reports that age, injury and a $2.5 million salary in 2013 make McGahee vulnerable. The Broncos will shop for a running back. Klis believes they will look first for a veteran free agent with tread on his tires because pass protecting Peyton Manning is a high priority for a Broncos running back.
