Texans RB Arian Foster Cleared, Back At Practice
The Houston Texans have yet to seal up a playoff bye in the AFC and have no plans to rest their starters Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts.
That includes running back Arian Foster, who returned to practice Wednesday after leaving a Week 16 loss to the Minnesota Vikings with an illness that was later determined to be an irregular heartbeat.
"Arian's fine," coach Gary Kubiak told the team's official website. "He's been cleared. Took all his normal reps he would take on a Wednesday."
The Texans were manhandled by the Vikings and can't pound away at teams with Foster on the bench. Ben Tate has been a reliable stand-in for Foster on occasion, but Houston already has too many replacements on the field heading into what should be a brutal AFC playoff derby.
