Cardinals Release TE Todd Heap
According to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, the Arizona Cardinals have parted ways with veteran tight end Todd Heap.
Heap has been bothered by a knee injury suffered in Week 2 in a win over the New England Patriots and hasn't played since.
In two games this season, Heap caught eight passes for 94 yards. In his injury-plagued two-season stint with Arizona, Heap had 32 receptions for 377 yards and and one touchdown in only 12 games.
The veteran from Mesa Mountain View High School and Arizona State University has 499 catches for 5,869 yards and 42 touchdowns in his 12-year career.

4 games to go and now he gets released? I guess Todd should have limped onto the field just to pacify Whiz. Yes, I'm a Heap fan and I think Whiz should have IR'ed the guy weeks ago, let him heal and play next year. Could have brought someone else in 6 weeks ago, like another piece of shit QB. But just like the majority of decisions that Whiz has been making over the past year, it's probably wrong.
Hope Heap lands with an organization and he gets back to playing some good football. He's probably glad it's over in his hometown.
