Seahawks CB Richard Sherman's Suspension Appeal Set For Dec. 14th
Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman will have his appeal heard Dec. 14 to try to overturn the four-game suspension he received after testing positive for performance-enhancing drugs, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports.
Fellow starting cornerback Brandon Browner was also given a four-game suspension, but Schefter tweeted that Browner’s appeal date has not been set.
Until their appeals are settled, Sherman and Browner are allowed to play, meaning both cornerbacks will ostensibly be on the field for the Seahawks’ divisional matchup against the Arizona Cardinals at home this Sunday. It’s likely that they will both be available for the next game against Buffalo on Dec. 16 as well, unless Sherman is suspended immediately after his appeal his heard.
That immediate suspension option is not completely out of the question, but the NFL usually hands down disciplinary action early in the week as opposed to two days before a game, which would be the case in the Sherman appeal.
