Lions CB Chris Houston Critical Of How Team 'Relaxed' Late Vs Colts
Detroit led 33-21 with 8:45 minutes remaining before eventually losing. According to STATS LCC, the Lions are the first team to lose three straight games, all at home, after leading each game since it started compiling stats in 1983. The last team to lose three straight when leading with two minutes remaining in regulation was the 2000 San Chargers Diego (October 15 to November 5).
"We were too relaxed," Lions cornerback Chris Houston said. "Guys get too relaxed instead of going out there and staying focused. You just got to keep grinding. You got to come out there with that attitude. Once our offense scores, then we give up a touchdown.
"We got to have that mentality that when our offense scores, we got to get another three-and-out and give our offense another chance to go up and put up points instead of our offense scores and then their offense scores. Then our offense scores and their offense scores. We can't win like that."
