Seahawks DE Red Bryant, LB Leroy Hill Sit Out Second Straight Practice
Seahawks defensive end Red Bryant (foot) and linebacker Leroy Hill (ankle) did not practice for a second straight day today, as the team worked out inside today.
Seattle head coach Pete Carroll told us on Wednesday that if Bryant canít play, Alan Branch would move outside to defensive end, and rookie Greg Scruggs would take Branchís place at defensive tackle.
ďAlanís played some of the same techniques that Red did last week,Ē Seahawks defensive coordinator Gus Bradley said. ďAnd heís practiced it through the week, and all the way up through the season, because weíve had to have a backup ready in case that happens.Ē
Second-year pro Malcolm Smith is slated to play outside linebacker if Hill canít play on Sunday.
Running back Marshawn Lynch (back) and defensive lineman Greg Scruggs (oblique) were full participants in practice today.
