Ravens LB Ray Lewis Not Practicing Thursday
Injured linebacker Ray Lewis' return to the practice field will apparently have to wait.
Lewis, who has been sidelined since tearing his right triceps muscle on Oct. 14 against the Dallas Cowboys, was not visible during the early portion of Ravens' practice opened to reporters.
On injured reserve with a designation to return, Lewis was eligible to start practicing today. However, Ravens coach John Harbaugh said Wednesday that the linebacker's status will be"day-by-day" and "he is not imminent to return to play or anything like that."
Lewis won't be eligible to play in a game until Dec. 16 against the Denver Broncos, so there really isn't any sense of urgency this week for the 13-time Pro Bowl selection to return to the practice field.
