Lions CB Drayton Florence Should Return Vs Packers
Help is on the way for the Lions secondary, and it should here in time for next Sunday’s game against Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers at Ford Field.
Cornerback Drayton Florence is expected to be activated off short-term injured reserve when he’s eligible this week. Florence broke his right forearm in the third quarter of a September loss to the San Francisco 49ers and returned to practice two weeks ago.
“He should be ready,” Lions defensive coordinator Gunther Cunningham said Friday.
The Lions have been hit hard by injuries in the secondary this year. Rookie cornerback Bill Bentley is on season-ending injured reserve after undergoing shoulder surgery last month, and starting safeties Louis Delmas and Amari Spievey will not play today against the Minnesota Vikings.
