Texans LB Brian Cushing’s ACL Surgery Goes ‘Very Well’
Texans linebacker Brian Cushing had his anterior cruciate ligament replacement surgery today and a person familiar with his condition said the surgery went "very well."
Cushing suffered the torn ACL in the Texans' Monday night win over the New York Jets when Jets guard Matt Slauson blocked him low. Slauson was fined $10,000 for the hit.
Typically, the injury takes at least nine months for full recovery. In some players, it takes two years before the knee operates again at the level it did before the injury.
