Broncos C J.D. Walton Likely Done For The Year After Breaking His Ankle
Broncos center J.D. Walton suffered a broken ankle late in the second quarter and will likely miss the rest of the season.
Walton was blocking out front of a run by Lance Ball when the center was inadvertently rolled up from behind by Oakland Raiders defensive end Jack Crawford.
Walton had played all but one snap in his first two seasons and 3 1/2 games into his third. He was replaced by veteran Dan Koppen, a long-time starter for the New England Patriots, who are the Broncos' opponent next week in Foxborough, Mass.
