Bengals Improve To 3-1 With 27-10 Win Over Jaguars
After the Jaguars took a 7-3 lead early in the second quarter, the Bengals would score 24 of the next 27 points to cruise to a 27-10 victory over Jacksonville at EverBank Field.
The Bengals improve to 3-1 and it marks the first time in franchise history that they have posted that mark when they have opened the season with three of their first four on the road.
After giving up a ton of yards on the ground for most of the last year, the Bengals held Maurice Jones-Drew to 31 yards on 11 carries. Down to three healthy cornerbacks, they were effective in containing Blaine Gabbert (23 of 34, 186 yards) and the Jaguars passing attack.
Andy Dalton accounted for all three touchdowns – two passing and one rushing - while finishing the game 20 of 31 for 244 yards, connecting 6 times for 117 yards with A.J. Green.
