Jaguars QB Blaine Gabbert Expected To Start At Indianapolis
Neither a poor performance against the Texans nor an injury to his gluteus maximus muscle is expected to keep Jaguars QB Blaine Gabbert out of the starting lineup when the Jaguars travel to face the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.
Gabbert was pulled from Sunday's 27-7 loss to the Texans in the fourth quarter. It initially was unclear if it was due to his 7-of-19 passing performance or an injury. The Jaguars later confirmed it was the latter, initially saying it was a leg injury, but since confirming it as an injury to the gluteus maximus muscle.
“I think it's going to be something that's going to get better each day. He'll be stiff and he will loosen up each day,” coach Mike Mularkey told the Florida Times-Union.
