Eagles [Eagles] Eagles QB Donovan McNabb Wants A Long Future In Philly

Eagles QB Donovan McNabb said he sees a long future in Philadelphia even though he has only one year remaining on his contract beyond this season. "If I'm still playing at 38 or 39 years old, I would love for it to be here," he said. "I wouldn't see myself being anywhere but here in Philadelphia. I love it here and I think we can do some great things here."

We aren't done with him, but if expects to be an Eagle 4 or 5 years from now, I don't see it being in a starter's role.

I was mostly kidding, but I'm not talking about the next 2 or 3 years.

Mcnabb's contract ends after the 2010 season and he has not been offered an extension yet and is not going to receive an extension. The Eagles are "rebuilding for the future" and Mcnabbs ERA will be over soon and Mike Vick will repalce him. The Eagles are going to trade Mcnabb, Andy Reid is very smart, Bring Mike Vick In do not start a Qb controversy by rarely letting Vick play, Let him study under Mcnabb work on his passing skills which we all know Vick has a cannon, get into football shape and Let all the dust settle regarding his legal issues, We all know Vick is awesome (3-time ProBowl QB) he just ran for 34 yards against the Bears and he looked DAMM!!! good. Again Reid needs Mcnabb to perform his best to get the best trade value for him, Mcnabb wont be as relaxed if he has to worry about Vick all the time.

Lastly, Kolb probably was the Future of the Eagles until Mike Vick signed with the Eagles. Kolb has only started
(2) games and only won (1)

Kolb had a great game against the Chiefs but the 3-7 Chiefs Defense is ranked #30 in the NFL so that doesn't say to much, (Tim Tebow could of done that) and the Eagles won 34-14. Kolb's performance againt the 10-0 Saints was agaist a Defense that is ranked #17 in the NFL and the Eagles still lost 22-48. So based upon those 2 starts there is no way in the world i would ever start Kolb over Mike Vick "Next Year".

The Eagles are not going to trade Mike Vick, They did not pay 1.6 Million Dollars to Sit Vick on the Bench and let him play a few downs here and there and not give him more playing time, then trade Feely and Jeff Garcia Go. Vick is th Future

GREEN LIGHT FOR MCNABB TRADE TO REBUILD FOR THE FUTURE AND TO ALLOW MIKE VICK AND KOLB TO BATTLE FOR THE STARTING QB JOB NEXT YEAR.

**** If Kolb can beat out Mike Vick " NEXT YEAR" with only 2 NFL starts under his belt let Kolb Start but I dont see that happening. ***
