Tennessee already had its bench shortened by suspension. Its rotation at receiver has also now been trimmed by injury. After starting to settle in and make a few plays late in the year, Vincent Dallas broke his hand during practice on Thursday and won't be available for the regular-season finale and a must-win game for the Vols on the road at Kentucky today (TV: WVLT, 12:21 p.m.). The freshman wideout had chipped in a catch in each of the last two games, including a 22-yard reception in the victory last week over Vanderbilt that kept UT's chances of earning a bowl bid alive. Should the Vols (5-6, 1-6 SEC) earn it, there's no official projection yet on whether or not Dallas would be ready to return in the postseason.
