Vols ALL-SEC DB Janzen Jackson Dismissed From Team

According to UTSports.com, junior defensive back Janzen Jackson has been dismissed from the University of Tennessee football team. The announcement was released Wednesday on the athletics website. The Louisiana native made headlines two years ago when he was arrested and charged with attempted armed robbery. Those charges were dropped by the District Attorney two weeks later. Head Coach Dereck Dooley had this to say about the dismissal: "Our program has devoted a tremendous amount of energy, resources, support, and care in an effort to help Janzen manage his personal challenges," said Dooley. "I will always be there to help him as a person, but there comes a time when a player's actions preclude him from the privilege of playing for the University of Tennessee football team." "Although I'm disappointed with this outcome, we will never compromise the long-term organizational values and goals we maintain here at Tennessee," Dooley said.

Kid has pissed away his entire career. Hopefully this will wake him up and he can find a D-2 school to play for.

Sad thing is, it doesn't always do that.

I thought their values were thrown out the window when they hired that clown Lane Kiffin.

Phil Fulmer?

Lane Kiffin?

I won't hate on Dooley yet, though.

Those are my points. This guy comes in talking about the integrity of the program and whatnot as is if they had some. The shred of values they "might" of had was thrown out the window with Lane Kiffin.

Yep, I agree. The values they had LEFT after Fulmer were thrown out with Kiffin's hire. Lol. They TRIED to gain it back with Dooley's hire. But, good to see he's trying to turn things around, for their point. I could careless.
