| 49ers Coach Harbaugh Equates Non-Call On Ahmad Bradshaw's Fumble To Tuck Rule The 49ers had a golden opportunity for a Super Bowl return slip away in Sunday's 20-17 OT loss to the Giants in the NFC Championship Game. But San Francisco HC Jim Harbaugh thought his team was deprived of one chance that might have made all the difference. Giants RB Ahmad Bradshaw appeared to fumble while being gang-tackled near his 20-yard line just prior to the two-minute warning with the game tied 17-17; the 49ers recovered, well within field-goal range of all-pro K David Akers. However the officiating crew ruled Bradshaw's forward progress had stopped and whistled the play dead. "My opinion, that was a fumble," Harbaugh said Monday. "I'm sure the league will defend it. ... (But) there was still struggling by Bradshaw." Then Harbaugh invoked a ruling that cursed the 49ers' cross-Bay rival Raiders a decade earlier, saying the Bradshaw play was "analagous with the Tuck Rule." Source: USAToday
