Former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Vince Young has landed a one-year deal with the Buffalo Bills, according to a source with knowledge of the situation, Buffalo later confirmed the deal. Young worked out for the Bills last week throwing to four receivers, including David Nelson who said the six-year veteran "looked good." "He brings with him some unique physical abilities that most are aware of and that will make the competition interesting. It's all about improving our team." Young was with the Eagles last season but was not re-signed after completing his one-year contract. He started three games for Philadelphia last season completing 66 passes for four touchdowns on 866 yards.
Bengals Sign First-Round OG Kevin Zeitler

The Bengals have signed the second of their two first-round picks, agreeing to terms on Friday with OG Kevin Zeitler. As with all first-rounders, the deal is four years with an option for a fifth. Financial terms were not announced. Zeitler, selected 27th overall, has a chance to start immediately for the Bengals. A strong and smart player, the 6-4, 315-pound Wisconsin product could be the team’s right guard in Week One. “We continue to get our draft picks in the fold, and I credit everyone involved in getting Kevin’s deal done,” head coach Marvin Lewis said. “He’s a young man who we feel will be ready to play a lot of football for us as a rookie, and this only aids him working toward that goal.”

The Packers signed former Dolphins DE Phillip Merling on Wednesday and released TE Cameron Ford and QB Nick Hill. The Dolphins cut Merling earlier this offseason. A second-round pick in 2008, Merling has played in 46 games with three starts, recording 66 tackles, 3˝ sacks, two fumble recoveries, an interception-return touchdown and eight passes defensed. He has some off-the-field problems, including an arrest for aggravated battery against his pregnant girlfriend in May 2010 — the charges were later dropped — and a torn Achilles tendon suffered in the 2010 offseason that cost him much of the ’10 season. Ford is a rookie out of Wake Forest and Hill, a first-year player out of Southern Illinois, signed with Green Bay on Jan. 20.

Seahawks Trade For Buccaneers TE Kellen Winslow

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers traded tight end Kellen Winslow to the Seattle Seahawks for a draft pick on Monday night and signed former Colts star Dallas Clark to replace him. Earlier in the day, Winslow told SiriusXM radio that first-year coach Greg Schiano was "kind of upset" that Winslow has not been working out with the team during the offseason. "That's kind of shocking, but that's what it is," Winslow said, adding that Schiano told him the coach "would help me out with a trade." Winslow has been one of Tampa Bay's best offensive players since being acquired from Cleveland in a trade three years ago. He had 77 receptions for 884 yards and five touchdowns in 2009, 66 catches for 730 yards and five TDs in 2010 and 75 receptions for 763 yards and two TDs in 2011. Tampa Bay received a conditional 2013 draft pick in the deal.
