The Philadelphia Eagles announced Wednesday that they have signed linebacker Chris McCoy, who most recently registered 3.0 sacks for the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League before suffering a mid-season knee injury.
The team also released offensive tackle Demetress Bell, who was signed last offseason. Bell, 28, was signed in the aftermath of Jason Peters' Achilles injury last spring, but was beaten out for the starting left tackle job in Training Camp by King Dunlap. Bell ended up starting five games for the Eagles in 2012.
