Eagles Sign RB LeSean McCoy To A 5-Year, $45M Deal

The Eagles announced they have agreed to a five-year contract extension with running back LeSean McCoy. According to multiple reports, the deal is worth $45 million over five years, with $20.765 million guaranteed. McCoy is coming off his best season, setting a franchise record for rushing touchdowns (17), while rushing for career-high 1,309 yards. He also had 48 catches for 315 yards and three touchdowns. In 2010, he rushed for 1,080 yards and seven touchdowns and caught a career-high 78 passes for 592 yards and two touchdowns, as a dynamic part of the Eagles’ offense. "LeSean is one of the most electrifying running backs in the National Football League,’’ Eagles coach Andy Reid said in a statement. "He can do it all- run, catch, block, and score touchdowns from anywhere on the field.’’
