| Plaxico Burress-To-Eagles Talk Coming From "Plax's People" The Philadelphia Eagles have become the top rumored landing spot for ex-New York Giant wide receiver Plaxico Burress when he is released from prison this month. According to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer, however, the team’s reported interest may be created. "All this talk about the Eagles being interested is coming from Plax’s people, not the Eagles,” McLane writes. “Trust me on this.” The Eagles have had success with Michael Vick, who himself served a 21-month jail sentence, and could use a tall receiver to improve their 14th-ranked redzone scoring offense. But considering that the team already has deep speed at wide receiver in DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin; a good slot receiver in Jason Avant; and a promising young receiver with size in Riley Cooper, it does look more and more like the Eagles might be just fine without adding Burress. The St. Louis Rams, New York Jets, Indianapolis Colts, and Miami Dolphins are also reportedly in the mix for Burress’ services. Source: Football News Now
