Who Are The Essential Players in the NFC SOUTH ?

The OTAs are complete, each team still has some injuries lingering from 2011, the rookies are either in camp or the contracts are being negotiated and then there's the new faces in new places guys...which brings up the question:

In the NFC South, what 3-4 players (per team) do you think are essential to each teams success in 2012?

These players could be guys returning from injury, could be a newly signed veteran, could be a rookie, could be a comeback player...

Discuss...

For my Saints, it begins and ends with Brees. I am looking forward to seeing what Curtis Lofton will do in the new defense. We really need a good mike linebacker. Also how will Patrick Robinson develop this year. Our corners have turned from an asset to a liability very quickly. If we don't get any pressure on the quarterback we are in trouble. Which brings me to the 4th guy is Bunkley. Hope he can muddy up the middle to stop those killer runs.

Definitely going to have to agree. Brees is of course, no brainer, the essential player. Of course, we need him signed.

Lofton is going to be huge, imo. Young. Leadership. He's going to be an upgrade over Vilma. Robinson scares me. He can be good, but also has been made to look like a fool. I'm interested in seeing how Malcolm Jenkins does under a new DC. Should be better in coverage.

I just can't see how someone can go from a great rookie year to whatever it was last season. Maybe the new style of blitzes will help Jenkins in his coverage. More playing zone behind the blitz will help him intercept more passes. Like Williams called him a no catching motherfucker that game. I listened to Lofton doing some interviews and he is not lacking in intensity. Got another middle linebacker going into his prime. Got more size than Vilma, just hopes he can diagnose plays like him. Patrick scares me. Dudes got all the tools to be a good corner. Size, speed and hands. Don't really know if he has the heart for it. Would like to see more coming up and tagging a runner for no gain or at least minimum. He always seems to duck his head and hope for the best. But on those rare moments he wants to tackle, he is pretty damn good. Johnny Patrick is the wild card. He showed some skills when he played but played kinda in awe. After them two and Greer we are fucked. Torrence is our fourth so far. :(
