NFL Saints Fall To Patriots 7-6 In Preseason Opener
The New Orleans Saints and New England Patriots staged one of the uglier games you'll ever see Thursday night at Gillette Stadium, a 7-6 snoozer won by the Patriots. Drew Brees was 1-of-4 for 4 yards while Tom Brady was 4 of 7 for 30 yards. There were fumbles, interceptions, bad penalties and a slow pace. But hey, this is the time of year when you can play this poorly and nobody thinks you're any less of a playoff contender. The Saints are 1-1 in preseason and will play Jacksonville at the Superdome next week.

it was a snoozer but the defenses really played pretty good. Both teams have shored up their defenses.
