NFL Sebastian Janikowski's Record Day Lifts Raiders Past Bears 25-20

Sebastian Janikowski kicked a franchise-record six field goals and Michael Bush scored on a late 3-yard run as the Raiders remained in first place in the AFC West with a hard-earned 25-20 win over the Chicago Bears Sunday at O.co Coliseum. Janikowski connected from distances of 40, 47, 42, 19, 37 and 44 yards without a miss, breaking the previous club record of five field goals he shared with Jeff Jaeger. The Raiders improved to 7-4 to remain atop the division while Chicago slipped to 7-4, its hopes of making the playoffs almost certainly reduced to being a wild card because of the presence of the unbeaten Green Bay Packers in the NFC North. With the score 18-13, Oakland finally broke through on Bush’s 3-yard run with 3:47 left, a play that was set up by a perfectly thrown 48-yard strike from quarterback Carson Palmer to wide receiver Louis Murphy against a trailing Tim Jennings. Bush crashed through on the next play to give the Raiders a 12-point lead, much to the delight of a sold out crowd delighted to see Oakland improve to 3-3 at home.

fortunately for the bears, they have 3 wins left on their schedule (chiefs, seahawks, vikings) .............. even without an offense, they can win these and get into the playoffs and then hope cutler is healed by then.
