good points 127m.

a couple of counter points:

1. i really don't' think ben's booboo had anything to do with him not being able to read and react. he couldn't find the open receiver all night and was just locking in on his primary every play and forcing the ball. he played like he was stoned.

2. the loss of clark hurt but a few steeler back-ups should have been able to fill in against an inferior team like the broncos without a problem.

3. I know all 4 home teams won this weekend but that is actually very abnormal. Over the past several years, there is no statistical evidence that home field in the playoffs has any advantage at all. In fact, from everything i've read, since the home team is 'usually' supposed to be the better team, home teams actually don't win at the rate they're supposed to in the playoffs.

4. I completely agree that the Steelers had a shitty game plan and got completely outcoached. However, I also think many of the Steelers players didn't give full effort. Now, possibly they quit when they realized the game plan wasn't working but it was a very half-assed effort by most of the steeler players last night. Maybe they were just ready to hit the golf course so they layed down ..........

#1 Passing defense

vs

#31 Passing offense

And Tebow was the quarterback. The guy everyone had been dogging all week.

What else can God do to convince you?!?
Buck Fenson and Agent Zero like this.

I love how the Steelers fans aren't making excuses for the loss. Only the Tebow haters are.

Agent Zero likes this.

Steeler fans thought Tebow would be a free ticket as well

I agree and concede to your point primarily because the "superior" team should have taken care of business, as we see in a 'normal' year. The problem I have with this and a lot of things in life is mediocrity being rewarded. Right now they're jumping through hoops in Phoenix because the Card started 1-6 and finished the season 8-8. Their 7-2 finish made it a successful season. Huh?

The only way to 'fix' your issue is to eliminate divisions and make best conference record the way to seed the playoffs. There would be no sense in keeping the divisions because it would be only grouping teams for the same of trying to keep some sort of rivalries going.

And that would just blow.

The system is exactly the way it should be.

No, the divisions are important to see who is actually in the tournament. The Division winners are automatically in no matter how bad they were in regular season. I would never want the divisions to go away as it keeps teams hopes up and fan interest up. Frankly, I think fans just want their team in, regardless if they get a home game.
So the Divisions punch their tickets to get in, it's after that they should be reseeded for the actual tournament. IMO.

Gotcha.

I'm okay with that. Don't think Rog will be though.
