What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about DARRIUS HEYWARD-BEY: Maryland, 6015 210 4.30. Junior entry. Three-year starter. Rare speed with outstanding athletic ability. Long arms. Described as a track guy that is a workout warrior. Has some definite Troy Williamson tendencies in his games. Not a natural hand catcher. Double catches and is handcuffed by the ball. Cradles and lets the ball into his body too often to trap it. Vertical receiver that can stretch the field. Long strider that finished third in school history in career yards. Needs work on his route running. Struggles to drop his weight in and out of cuts because of long legs. Has big play ability and explosive speed to run away from defenders once he catches the ball.
