Stock Up:
QB Brandon Weeden (Oklahoma St.)
Weeden reportedly had a great week. He threw the ball alot better than any other QB by a large distance. He showed what you would think a 29 year old QB should show off- brains and maturity. Interviews were knocked out of the park by Weeden. He had a bad SR. bowl game but had a fantastic week of practice.
DE Quinton Coples (UNC)
His stock has been up and down for years now. He had an up and down college career and came into the week in Mobile with alot of questions about his consistency. Leaving Mobile, he silenced critics with a nice week that showcased just how elite of a talent he is.
DE/OLB Courtney Upshaw (Bama)
Upshaw was an elite player before this week but helped himself by having an elite week. He proved he could play 4-3 end as well as his usual spot of 3-4 OLB.
RB Doug Martin (Boise St.)
From the moment he arrived in Alabama, showcasing a chiseled physique, he impressed scouts and coaches. He then further impressed in practices with power and doing all the little things right. He may have worked his way into the late 1st round.
CB Janoris Jenkins (N.Bama)
Jenkins was kicked out of Florida for smoking weed. However, at N.Bama he kept his nose clean and interviewed well at the Sr. Bowl stating that he doesn't smoke or hang out with people that do. On the field he showed off the ability everyone already knew he had. This was important as he had a mediocre year this year.
QB Kellen Moore (Boise St.)
Moore had a terrible week. Things never turned around for him. He measured in well short of 6'0, he showed a lack of arm strength, a lack of mobility, and a lack of accuracy on longer throws.
WR Brian Quick (App. St.)
Being a guy from a small school is tough. Quick was seen as a great prospect before this week. However, following the week he may slip quite a way. He had many an uncharacteristic drop and didn't show that much quickness off the line.
CB Alfonzo Dennard (Nebraska)
Dennard is more of a gamer anyway and is only good for certain press coverage schemes. However, this week he showed tight hips, a lack of speed, and didn't make it through the week. Many now have the mindset he will have to move to Safety.
QB Nick Foles (Arizona)
I'm a huge fan of Foles. I don't know why he had a bad week of practice. I was really disappointed. The biggest knock on him is a lack of consistency which I saw on film but never imagined it would be quite as bad as it was in Mobile. He does have some great positives but looks more and more like a mid 2nd round guy, depending on need.
RB Chris Polk (Washington)
Another guy I'm a big fan of. Coming into the week I thought for sure he was a 1st round guy. Yeah I saw on film he struggles with pass blocking but most young guys do. However, I never imagined he would struggle with his acceleration. That was one of the things I really liked about him on film. Rumor is he gained some weight but if it's affecting his acceleration he needs to take it off as soon as possible and rehab his draft stock.
