Strong side LB. Ellis has just not gotten it done. Watching our defense has been like watching late in 2006 when we only had one edge rusher. If Ware is contained, the QB will have all day. I love Greg, but he is done. Fortunately reinforcement is healthy and ready...


Offensive line Kinda beating a dead horse with this. Whats the difference from this year and last? Flo is nicked up? Flo got paid? Koiser has been hurt? Colombo forgot its a contract year? I think 1 and 3 are the biggest issues right now. Adams has just looked plain bad at times this year, but there have been reports that he has been playing hurt. We'll see. Its odd to think however to think that not having Koiser, often considered the weak link on the line, has had such an impact, but he is our smartest lineman the line dominate when he played this year. Unit coheasion with OL's is huge. Our OL was terrible last year for the short time Gurode was out too. Like Flo, we'll see

Nose Tackle. Its odd that the second best player on your defence is a problem, but Ratliff just is not a Nose Tackle. The guy should be playing End. He is not someone who is gonna command a double inside freeing the ILB's, or someone who can make teams think twice about running inside on us. With a good 320 Lbs NT and Jay at his natural position, this is a much better defence. Haynesworth

Communication in the secondaryWhy did we give Ken Hamlin a fat deal again? Oh ya... to be the QB of our secondary. Now why is it every time we give up a TD or a play, there is arguing amongst the DB's. If we are gonna be relying on Scan, Jenkins and/or Ball to man some of those slots, we need Hamlin's head in the game. He needs to take charge of that secondary. Luckily newman comes back next week so thats one position with a seasoned vet, but we are gonna have some pups out there. They are all talented players, so it doesnt have to be a debilitating thing. Hamlin just has to do his job

I Agree with all of that. Chris Canty is decent at DE, Ratliff would be so much better then Spears out there, I wish we would move him over, bench Marcus, and start Tank at DT.

Spencer should be starting over Ellis as of yesterday.

the DB's... Idk whats up with them, other then pacman being suspended, newman being hurt, but we still got good athletes out there, just need experience. You watch the game, and you got Anthony Henry and Mike Jenkins giving 12 yard umbrellas before the snap. Terrible.

And the Oline, I said the same thing yesterday about Kosier. You always hear chemistry with a Oline, and Kosier is that missing piece of chemistry.

Other then that, it's just Injuries that is killing us right now. get some healthy players back from the Injury Report, and we'll be spot on.

I would coonsider playing boby carpenter in that LB position D Ware is playing very good. Maybe playing 3-4 would help the Cowboys. They have fast LBers.

Offensively we are gonna be hard to stop. With Williams taking over at #2 and Crayton in the slot, its a totaly different dymnaic, and DC's cant gameplan us the same way they did before. I can see us putting up alot of points the next 3 or 4 games because of that

However, our Achilles will be our run defense. If teams can run on us, and play keep away, our offense doesnt get on the field. Alot of people bitch about the ILB play, but IMO its more about not having what we need upfront. If your first 3 cant win the LOS, Bradie and Zach are fucked

Can you elaborate on Carpenter a little more CP, it almost looks like your saying bench Ware for him

Problem with Carpenter is that he really has never mastered any position. As of now he is kind of a hybrid that can not play any one position well enough to be counted on. He'll have his flash's, but he'll be lost too

Contrary to popular belief the O-line hasn't been that terrible. They take to many god damn penalties yeah we know that. But having Brad Johnson back there has really made the O-line look worse than they are, if you rewatch the tapes from the games hes started you'll see hes usually had time in the pocket but he always making one read throws and when he doesn't he gets antsy in the pocket and usually walked right into the sacks. The O-line has been terrible for the running game though, not seeing Davis pulling like he was earlier in the season or Flozell holding his own. Gaines Adams pwned our O-line thats for sure but I wouldn't say the O-line has been overly bad.

Lack of pressure once again a problem... Ware hasn't been very good, sure he has nice numbers but hes not forcing turnovers and is usually taking wide angles to the QB much like in previous years, oh and hes taking offside penalties.

Locker Room should be one of the biggest problems, no leaders on the field yada yaddda yada. Davis, Tank, and Hamlin all out partying the night before the Giants game which is stupid because all 3 of them have had their share of problems Hamlin got his asskicked outside a club and almost died, Tank problems with the Law, and Davis was shot before. really these guys should be nowhere near clubs.

He means strong side like you mentioned in the origional post.
