 Is Mike Jenkins A Potential Future FS?
One of the things I remeber about Jenkins during draft season was that alot of place's thought he could play FS in the NFL. Not in the Antrell Rolle "He should play FS" but many thought he could play the position. It lead me to think, with our new found depth at CB, the questions surrounding retaining Ken Hamlin, and us not knowing if there is a replacement between Watkins and Brown. Is it possible that Jenkins could become the starting FS if Hamlin were to leave?
This is what I think would have to happen in order for Jenkins to move:
-Hamlin will have to walk (obviously)
-Orlando Scandrick (or possibly Ball) will have to prove capable of playing in the Nickel
-The organization doesnt feel that Brown or Watkins is what they want as a replacement.
- Jenkins doesnt get enough time at CB his rookie year to cement himself at that position. If it aint broke, why fix it |
