The starred items are guaranteed. His '09 salary as well as his 07 salary are guaranteed. He receives a guaranteed 4.165M option bonus in year 2. A guaranteed option bonus acts like a signing bonus.
Not bad. Cheaper than I expected, considering the shark Gore has as an agent.
Everyone knocks Rosenhaus and he is a prick but he gets his players paid and he usually works deals that are good for the team. Gore was always going to be after his payday given the year he had but by doing the deal now rather than when he got closer to the free agent market, the Niners probably got him a little cheaper than his actual worth. Good deal all round I reckon.
